The family has asked us to move on this quickly.

For eight-year-old Ishwarya, childhood has never been about schoolyard games or carefree afternoons. Born in Villupuram with severe congenital defects—including an abnormally placed heart, malformed major arteries, and no natural pulmonary connection to her lungs—her life has been a quiet, relentless fight for breath. Before she could walk, she underwent an emergency shunt to deliver oxygen to her body, followed by major reconstructive heart surgeries at age one and age three. She bears the quiet physical scars of three major operations, each marking a battle won against overwhelming odds.

Now, that fragile balance is rapidly slipping away. As Ishwarya has grown, the temporary pathways crafted during infancy can no longer deliver enough oxygen to sustain her body. Her lips carry a faint bluish tint, routine movements exhaust her, and her heart pumps under perilous strain. Chief Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Robert Coelho at MIOT Hospitals has advised an urgent, high-risk open-heart surgery—a Fontan completion—which will definitively reroute her bloodstream to her lungs, protect her heart from failure, and grant her a stable future.

Her father, Periyasamy, has spent the last eight years dedicating every resource and waking hour to keeping his daughter alive, but this final hurdle is insurmountable alone. The life-saving surgery, critical pediatric ICU care, and post-operative medications total ₹4,75,000. Ishwarya has fought with remarkable resilience to make it to this final stage; she only needs a compassionate hand to help her cross the finish line and finally live the healthy childhood she deserves.
